Same. He really doesn’t think women are that capable. Except for Ivanka.
He picked Pence because he wanted to lock down the evangelical base. Trump now controls that group. Trump is very transactional; that’s the heart of his character. So he will pick someone who brings votes home to Trump.
I’m thinking he nominates a black man or maybe Tucker Carlson as VP. He wants someone who will make a splash and bring in new voters and/or reenergize his base.
Tim Scott is a good option.
My money is on Tim Scott b/c they always think that black people will vote for black people no matter what.
PP here: that was my reasoning as well. I bet Trump hosts Scott's wedding at MAL in the fall and they turn it into a bizarre televised campaign event.

Prove me wrong.
Pence, Bill Barr.

It’s going to be Tim Scott.
Seeing a Black man with a
blonde, white fiancée/wife may be a bridge too far for many Southern voters. They practically lost their minds when a Black family moved into the White House.
I actually think this helps Trump. MAGA will use this so show how accepting they are. And since Trump is Christ and won’t die in office they don’t have to worry about Scott becoming president.
I think the optics will be too much for them when both candidate couples (president and VP) get on the stage. First the Blacks are coming for their jobs (see DEI thread) and now their women!
Has Melania been on any stage with Trump this whole campaign?

All the people listed so far are conventionally attractive.
Trump doesn't like overweight people, especially women.
He also wants people to look the part like he thinks they look on tv or the movies. He would never think a dark-skinned person looks the part of VP.
Gov. Sarah Sanders appears to have lost a lot of weight and got a glow up:
