Subject: Could Crown High School and/or Northwood stall out?
Crown HS is needed to keep MCPS schools near their current sizes, OR MCPS could operate fewer but larger 3,000 student high schools which are becoming more common in the Northern Va suburbs.

If you listen to the budget workshop from today, they say enrollment is down in every grade except 10 and 11. Who knows how long that will last and/or will it get worse?

The county-wide boundary analysis provided a lot of useful information. There is not going to be any county-wide boundary study. Whether you think there should be one, or whether you think there shouldn't be one, there is not going to be one.

Like you said the analysis provided plenty of information that showed that the county needs to stop looking only within a cluster to solve overcrowding. Look beyond the cluster and take advantage of the underutilized schools.
How, specifically? Which areas should be shifted from which schools to which schools?
Just put the new neighborhoods in the closest schools with available seats. Make that the policy and developers will stop trying to get out of funding new schools.

I've looked at the numbers. I came to a different conclusion from the PP. It's fully reasonable to ask PP to explain how they came up with their results.

DP. And keep in mind that overcrowding/"utilization" is just one of the four factors MCPS will take into account when redrawing boundaries.
