Tennis shoes - Florida. I usually say running shoes now though. Sneakers would be Keds or something similar, not workout shoes.

Gym shoes- Ohio

Now I sometimes call them sneakers. Often I just refer to them by brand name too.

I grew up calling them tennis shoes, but now call them sneakers. Don't recall when that transition happened.

I grew up everywhere as a military brat. Now live in MoCo

In Texas we called them tennis shoes, when I moved to Michigan in third grade everyone called them gym shoes. Now as an adult in VA I call them sneakers.

Tennis shoes when I was growing up in Ohio. Now I live in the DMV and call them sneakers unless I’m referring to a sport-specific shoe like real running shoes or tennis shoes.
