He’s a gifted actor.
He does a ton of motion capture, specifically for Marvel. I think other actors really like working with him.

It made it all sad to me in retrospect.

Lane marries her loser husband and gets pregnant the first time she has sex. And it was bad sex at that!
Her whole storyline went off track when Adam Brody got cast on the OC and she lost Dave. They failed her miserably after that.
I am still mad about this. Why did that automatically mean she had to have this shitty awful life? There was no rush and they blew it. This show really suffered from lack of good large plotting and too much focus on chatty quick dialogue.

Love Emily, Paris, and Mrs. Kim.

Babette is the most irritating and trust me she has tough competition.
I grew up while this show was airing and even as a 12 year old I found the show completely annoying. Ironically I loved the Sherman palladinos other show, the marvelous Mrs Maisel, but did find elements of it irritating.

Add Lane! Love Lane and her storyline. Her mother isn't half bad either.
But Lane participates in the central premise of the show, which is that Rory is somehow special and deserving of unique attention and support. Both Lane and Suki seem like they could be good characters, and yet the exist primarily to enable all of Lorelai and Rory's horribleness, so I can't get behind them.
Lane's mom I'll give you. She is rightfully suspicious of everyone else on the show. This is the only appropriate way to interact with this pile of narcissistic nut jobs.
