the average age to start seeing grays is in your thirties. majority are 50% gray by 50 or so. whoopeedoo op

50. I have about 10 strands. Six along my hairline and the rest at the top of my head. I use a cover stick in the front. My hair is darkest brown/ black.

How dark is your hair though? I only have a few silver strands, but they are very noticeable against my dark brown hair.

50 here. Black hair with white money piece strip in the front. I part my hair to the side, so I guess there are two pieces. The rest of my hair is black with increasing white strands here and there. So I guess, 5-10%, but with that percentage being pure silver/white, so a big contrast.

It wasn't a look I would've picked for myself, but you know what, it's natural and I'm too lazy to color my hair anymore, so it is what it is!

I get that, but I can only see a tiny % of my hair roots. Hard to estimate the entirety of my head when I can only see 50%

I posted 5% earlier. I don't dye my hair so I can see it. I mean I can't see the back of my head that closely but at least looking in the mirror I don't see any visible gray. Would you prefer people to post a range?

43 and probably 80% gray

47 and very little grey. I do color my hair.

49 and probably 80% gray

Most of it happened in the last 2-3 years. I feel like Covid and dealing with health issues and an awful ex really accelerated it. I’m not going to dye it. It’s my way of saying f**k the patriarchy.

45 and 20% but it’s more like 1% at the top and 30% on the sides.

56, about 5% gray. I pluck them when I see them.

36, 0% gray. My hair is a neutral light brown. My parents didn’t go gray til their late 40s/early 50s, and then they just gradually lost pigment as opposed to actively turning gray.

DH is 38 and 25% gray. His hair is dark and his family gets the salt and pepper look early. He’s had grays since his 20s, and his beard is probably 50%.

44 and haven’t found any yet. I have light brown hair.

55 and 40% -50% gray. It’s really frustrating, because it’s not even. I started with a silver streak and now I have a big patch on one suddbif the top of my head. The rest of my hair has some silver, but nothing uneven. I call it my cow spot

47 and 0٪ gray
