Either way, I believe every word Khalid Walker says and I knew they were scapegoating him. Good for him for fighting back. Brian Hull has got to go.
why not monifa too?
McKnight*. I haven't seen any evidence she knew what was going on. In a huge school district like MCPS, I would see how she's out of touch with things like this.

+1
If Walker’s timeline of events after he changed the report are correct, then it’s clearly retaliation. But I think he has some culpability too. Why did he agree to change the report? Why did he sign a letter he didn’t agree with? There’s more to this part of the story.

I know a lot this predates her leadership but she has been in central office a long time before her current appointment. She has been able to make change but hasn’t.
The longer this goes on the weaker it makes her look. Fire the damn guy.
+1 Look, I wanted to see McKnight succeed for a number of reasons, but it is clear that she's just not a good fit. She lacks the vision that it would take to make a plan and see it through, and she has consistently obfuscated and engaged in PR-speak when clear answered were needed.
Here's the deal - Dr. McKnight is a long-time MCPS administrator, assistant superintendent, acting superintendent, and superintendent. If she were going to clean house, she would have done so already. This was her shot at "the big job" and she took it, and she failed. Okay, time to move on. Pretending that she's some smol bean who had no idea what was going on and no power to change things is an insult to MCPS staff and parents, and ultimately to her.
Agreed. She's obviously in over her head and trying to just lay low until this passes over. It's getting obvious that almost everyone in her cabinet will be implicated, and at some point, the QB has to take the blame - not just the rest of the offense. You cannot pick someone who only has 7 years of classroom experience/5 in MCPS (1999-2006 & 2001-2006 respectively), 5 years of experience as a principal at one of the smallest middle schools in the district (most Supers have worked in a HS), and only 5 years of central office experience (2 of which were Leadership Development and 1 of which was a BS C-Suite role in Howard County).
Side note: this situation shows that if you ever have a complaint about illegal activity with your company, you should ALWAYS consult a lawyer first.

Oh my God, I just read the article. I am floored. I hope Walker sues. Just unbelievable that this was allowed to happen. Where was the voice of reason and the leadership to say, this has got to freaking stop. Was it really worth all this just to protect Beidleman?

Robbins isn't on staff at the WaPo, so I think this is normal.
But she had been freelancing for the Post for the previous series of articles. I wonder if this has to do with the many recent staff departures at the Post; maybe an editor she had been working with is no longer on staff there.
