I am hopeful for a two hour delay on Tuesday. My kids would love the sleep.

Tuesday. Regular Wednesday and Thursday. What’s the scoop on Friday is there really going to be more?

Throwing this out there like a snowball…many teachers and staff do not live in FxCo. I’m certain the powers that be consider safe commutes and the resulting high need for subs if significant numbers are unable to commute from Loudoun/DC/Prince William.

No school Tuesday is my guess. Rest of the week on.

I think most understand that, but it’s a moot point for at least the next week.

Buses don't start when the temperature is very cold. This isn't a local issue, it happens in many places.

And when the temperature is near 0°F, high school kids who are too cool to wear coats, mittens, hats are actually in danger, waiting for buses in the dark.

Right but we won’t even be close to those temps. Just regular cold/below average but not record breaking winter temps. We are in for a cold week it looks like, but for “cancelling due to cold because buses won’t start” it would need to be in the single digits.

My best bet is a closure on Tuesday and a 2 hr delay on Wednesday. Friday is too early to tell.

You need to look at the whole county. Pull the forecast for Herndon and Mt Vernon. I’m seeing two inches for the eastern part of the county, and 1.5 for the western, but this is decreasing every time I look at it.

Weather shows no precipitation now for Tuesday. Maybe Friday.

AccuWeather shows 1-3 inches. Plus. They’ve closed before when it was really cold and no snow.

That was when it was 1° or 2° in the morning.

Are you disingenuous or just dumb?
