Meanwhile Trump's 77 and he's clearly too immature to vote for - or hold office.

Spend a day in any middle or high school.

It will change your mind, OP.

I wouldn’t deny anyone the right to vote but I think there should be weighing of votes. A person with a high school or equivalent education, trade school, or a two year associate degree vote is weighted as 1. A person with simply a bachelors degree has their vote weighted as a 1.5. A person with a masters degree receives the equivalent of 2 votes. Those with a doctorate level education cap out at a 2.5.
In this fashion people with demonstrated intelligence are rightly rewarded in determining the government and the trajectory of society.

So you believe that somebody who chose to achieve a degree beyond high school is demonstrably more intelligent than those that did not, simply by virtue of choosing that path?
No points for trade school?

Wow.

Absolutely. All agree that we cannot have someone with lower education credentials deciding the fate of our nation. Most of them simply vote in emotional, short-term, self-interested, illogical outbursts. That’s how America got Trump.

Are you familiar with the Electoral College?

I think anyone working for the government shouldn't be allowed to vote. It's a conflict of interest.

To include the military.

I was working and paying taxes at four years old until I was like 15. Think, please.

So are we changing consent age too?
Because how can we say that a 15-year-old who has a job and pays taxes can vote but cannot consent to sex with an adult she is attracted to?

Consent or not, a 14 year-old can still get pregnant.

Shouldn’t she have a say in choices involving their own body?

Agree. Higher education level does not equal higher intelligence nor better decision-making ability.

This is absolutely asinine logic. If I go study abroad in Europe and have a paying internship over there, should I get to vote in their local and national elections? Because I pay VAT taxes while traveling abroad, I should get to vote in Thailand, Japan, or Germany too?

You people have absolutely moronically bad logic associating taxes with rights to vote.

Not the same.

Ah yes, perhaps millions of illegal immigrants should vote too? What could possibly go wrong?

Also, not to mention this is basically a poll tax. Like over 50% of the entire country pays $0 in income taxes after deductions because they're poor or make very little money.

Ah yes, informed teens who get their money information from TikTok.

Dems want it all ways. First Dems tell us that there should be very little consequences for crimes committed by young people because they don't have fully formed brains and cannot make good decisions until they are 26 years old. Now on the other hand Dems tell is prepubescent tweens are mature enough to make decisions that can permanently alter their sexual identities and harm their bodies before they're 13 years old and now also claim they should have rights to vote at 14 years old. Lol, so which is it? Do young people have fully formed brains or not before the age of 26? If they do, then start throwing the hammer at them for all of the crimes thue commit. If they don't have fully formed brains and should have leniency wrt crime, then they sure as hell aren't mature enough to vote nor make decisions about sex change operations without parental consent.
