In general though bringing a bag onto the gym floor is not an issue unless it’s in someone’s way and leaving a bag on a machine does not reserve the machine for you. However, choosing to work in when someone ran to grab a wipe to clean what’s dirty is weird and pushy behavior….unless he’d already been doing a circuit and that was one of his stops.
How well do those wipes work? Washing your hands is probably far more important.
