It’s not sexist. I’m a PP and said I let my son take it in middle school. He was big at 13 and now at 15 he's taller and bigger than DH. He looks like a grown man. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with my tiny 5’2 daughter alone in an Uber.

At the risk of sounding sexist, is your child a boy or girl? I say this because I have a very mature 14 year old boy who looks like he’s 16 and he rides Uber teen in the day ( we haven’t done it at night yet). But there’s no way I’d let my more immature daughter who is 13, but looks 11, in a car with a stranger. The odds of getting sexually abused or anything going wrong would be higher in her case.

We use Waymo. No driver. Technically you have to be 18 but we’ve never had a problem. Lots of teens use it where we live.

I'm not a frequent Uber user, but my concern is whether or not an Uber teen will even be available at that time/one that is willing to drive half an hour away?
10 pm is kind of late and if I were an Uber driver willing to go through the extra screening/responsibility of driving teens, I wouldn't want to accept assignments that late.
Can the teen rides be scheduled in advance?

You have to be at work, at home with 2 children, and at your 14 year old’s sports practice all at once? You’re way over scheduled. You’re stretched thin and accommodating a sports practice that ends at 10 pm shouldn’t be your main concern.
I’m not the op - I didn’t say it’s at 10pm, it’s generally a lot earlier. And no 14yo needs to be picked up by mommy from every activity.
