I am 52 and don’t need Viagra. I do, however, struggle to finish sometimes.

I do associate that more often with alcohol consumption so generally don’t drink when I anticipate I might get lucky.

I can usually take care of myself pretty quickly but if I do that, it also makes it harder to finish when having partnered sex, so I have laid off the self abuse.

So weird: I'm a 45 yo F who had only 2 partners before my exH. He was definitely able to go twice in one evening and then once in the morning throughout 16 years long marriage. He stopping being able to around at 52. Both other partners also could. One of men I dated after divorce also could. So out of 5 men 4 could do it


It can also depend on time between those multi-sessions.

Night-night-morning once a week is different from night-nighth-morning 5 times a week.

Going again in the morning is nothing. It's the two times in a row thing that is hard. Or not hard, if you get what I mean.

I've been married for about a quarter century now, so I guess I couldn't say what new relationship energy might do for my abilities.

I have a 55 year old friend, he divorced his wife and his current girlfriend is in her late 40’s, he suffered from erectile dysfunction while he was married however that is no longer the case.
Familiarity breeds contempt as well as it destroys erections.

I think this "you're lucky to have me" attitude among women is really problematic and it leads to things like this DH resorting to porn for satisfaction. It's lazy and it's disrespectful to one's partner even when you're young. And it's ridiculous when you're older and no longer that hot young thing. In other threads people often scoff at "older" women who say that their sex partners find them just as appealing as a younger woman. But I could easily see that this is true given that younger women who are still able to get away with being lazy in bed pale in comparison to women who have sex with enthusiasm and who behave as though they really want to be there, wrinkles and all. In an ideal world for most men, a woman would have a great figure (in his eyes), she'd know her own body and how to enjoy it and take what she wants from her partner, and she'd be really excited about having sex with him. Women who take a lazy in bed approach do so at their own peril.


She probably wasn’t like that with her previous partners. The things women want for sex and the things women want for a stable marriage are often not the same thing.
