I love animals (my cat is cuddled up against me as we speak) but I agree emotional support animals are a scam. It's not real. There are places that are pet friendly and people can seek those out, but inventing a concept to make it seem like you are a disabled person and your pet is a service animal (which is the goal of emotional support animals -- to try and give a regular pet the same deference as a trained service animal) is just entitlement and selfishness.

I hope these universities get sued for this stuff. It's ridiculous. If you want to make your university pet-friendly, go for it, but make it clear to applicants that that's the environment. Don't expect people with pet allergies or other issues they have no control over (I have met people with dog phobias due to dog attacks and I think it would be cruel to force them to share space with a dog at school or in their home) to just get over it. It's nuts.

They should be ashamed for how difficult they make life in society for people with allergies, and for people who need a legitimate, trained and vetted service animal. You know, people with real problems.

All of humanity carried on just fine without bringing Puppers along to English class. And now absolutely everything can be accomplished virtually, so a person so incapable with anxiety that they can't manage the grocery store without their nasty rat dog wouldn't even be shut out from society. Their forcing their animals on us is nothing but a selfish power play, and I hold them in contempt.

ESA’s aren’t allowed in either of those places.

You are both wrong and toxic.
They absolutely are.
