What's the novel called?
Not the previous poster, but perhaps "Early Decision" by Lacy Crawford.
I'm the previous poster - yes, that's it - be aware that parental judgment is needed - it's R-rated. Contains sex, apathetic future admittees, unflattering points of view on competitive parenting, and parental infidelity.
I thought the book was pretty good. The sex part was why I waited to share until senior year. By then, it wasn't worth censoring. Not after my son had already nicked Helen Hoang romance novels out of my library bag. Plus "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Who would have expected a book told from a dog's point of view to have a subplot about a false accusation about intra-family sexual assault of a minor for custody battle purposes? Yikes! Plus we leave the New Yorkers lying around...one never knows what might be in there. In this image saturated, Internet age, I'm not too worried about mainstream fiction.
I didn't give the title out because of the sex aspect but since the title has been outed, I decided to 'fess up. Only $2.99 on Kindle!
