Putting aside the sadism, if the GOP thinks $500 million is going to move the needle, they are criminally unqualified.

They need to stop wasting time and get to work.

They regard destroying the government and liberal democracy as their work. Hence this kind of petty garbage.

I’ve always applied the maxim “the cruelty is the point” to the GOP’s forced birther politics, but yeah. They’re just trying to make as many people hurt as much as possible, but only the people who can least absorb it.

Wtf?!?

Why are they wasting time like this? I can’t even begin to imagine what message they are trying to send or what they are trying to accomplish.

We’re not speaking hyperbolically when we say that they are trying to break the government. It had already started at least back with Reagan (“the scariest words in the English language…”) but they’re really on a mission now.

The Christian-identified among them want a theocracy, which, while very much already happening, is technically prohibited by the Constitution, and the money obsessed among them want an oligarchy, which various laws, regulations and practices have mostly prevented and both of those groups want complete control over everyone so they meet in the middle with christo-fascism. But to truly get there they have to destroy the country just a little bit more.

So that’s their end game. That’s why they’re not putting in any legislation on the issues they claim to care about. They’re just there to do as much damage as politely as possible. Decorum and all that (which they only wink at, but they’re still winning so their cult members believe it’s so).

More like, "Fire the accounts receivable people" because I probably won't be CEO next year and think I won't be blamed!

I don’t remember it’s been so long since the GOP functioned in Congress. They can’t do the job they were elected to do. SAD! They’re grossly unfit to serve.

That’s what they were hired to do: blow it up.

Are they going to actually have a CR in two weeks? Or are we headed for a government shutdown again?

Between this and the Tuberville idiocy on the Senate side, this party is just a complete failure.
