The issue is not everyone applies. Some kids that don’t have college or their radar or as a priority may get admitted to GMU and then give it some consideration. It’s designed to boost enrollment for certain underrepresented groups of students that may not typically apply for various reasons. This creates an easier path to college and I’m all for it.

This is something similar but my kid who got the offer doesn’t attend any of these schools. He’s at another FCPS high school.

Are you saying only FCPS has that program because that isn’t true—other school districts are listed on the page.
Are you saying, that there is no direct admit program—it is only this program in the link? Because that isn’t true either. Our FCPS has the direct admit program.
