If that were true, then it wouldnt be a dump

Well, that’s your choice.
Yes, it is. I wouldn't never walk or jog there or Glover Archbold alone as a woman, or likely as a man. They found other bodies in Rock Creek while they were searching for Chandra (who they found eventually).
Off topic but I don’t know how someone would get away with a murder and/or hide a body in RCP undiscovered, unless it was in the middle of the night or during a snowstorm. I have never felt unsafe in any part of Rock Creek and no trail seems remote enough for screams or altercations to be unheard. I never go more than 3-5 minutes without seeing another hiker.
There are way more remote trails in Montgomery County that you could actually get lost in and maybe not be heard if you cry for help. But certainly not RCP in DC. I guess it may have been different 20 years ago?

There’s no way Dc has that many trees. That’s impossible.

It’s a tragedy a critically endangered species that lives ONLY right here in DC will go extinct under President Biden’s watch. I wouldve expected this under Trump… but Biden? It’s a cruel slap.
OK, I'm as liberal as it get but I think Biden is a bit busy these days. As far as the golf course, the back 9 holes are unplayable. The could start with clearing that area. I live across the street from the course and may go down and ask about this.

It’s literally true. Go read the article linked in the OP’s post:
In 2020, a newly formed nonprofit called the National Links Trust won a 50-year lease to operate the golf course. The group proposed the rehabilitation project as a way to “address deferred maintenance, increase playability, broaden course appeal to the local community, and achieve financial stability” for the golf course. Under the plan, the old 18-hole course would be split into two 9-hole courses, with a new driving range. The project would also include a new clubhouse, golf cart building, picnic pavilion, and maintenance building.

OMG do you never do the quickest check on something before you just pull it out of your as@ and post here? Two clicks: National Links Trust files a 990 with the IRS. What does that mean? It is a non profit (901(c)(b) charitable organization.. https://www.guidestar.org/Profile/84-2249627
Who ran the government in 2020 when this newly formed nonprofit was given a 50 year lease by NPS?

Yes but you’ve never gone on a walk or hike with another person?
Does anyone who doesn;t drive use Rock Creek? I'm from DC and I've only gone to that little book a BBQ area on the side for school events. I've never gone "in". How do you get to the golf course and horse stables and walking trails without a car? I'm from DC. Maybe my parents took me? Can't really remember. For me it's a nice lung for the city, like central park. I like looking down at the trees from bridges. It makes getting across town inconvenient. It's not a park I use. I use other parks way more; that's why I worry when development encroaches on the smaller, more accessible green spaces. But sure, I'm glad it's there. Again, I don't use it and I wouldn't feel safe walking most parts alone. And no, I've not walked or hiked Rock Creek with anyone else. Is this a thing?

It is hilarious that you think the National Parks Service awarding a concession is some sort of major conspiracy.

LOL the "Golf Lobby" doesn't golf at RCP. They golf at private clubs.
