Probably not trolls, just losers.

"Proper" was odd phrasing, but that OP just wanted recs for sweatpants that didn't look like pajamas to wear out of the house in casual settings. She got lots of links to nice joggers, sweats cut like trousers, etc. What's the problem?

Interesting. I am one of the first PP looking for the same thing as OP. I love the traditional Graceful. My worry has been for every day it's not really a tote, just a shoulder bag. I might have to just go for it.

I DON'T like the look of the Goyard coated canvas -- it seems cheap and plastic-y to me. If I'm going to drop over $2k on a bag, I don't want it to remind me of a duty-free liquor tote. I stuck with a Le Pliage, because everything else was either heavier, or even WORSE looking. I'm not seeing anything on this thread that is changing my mind, so I think I made the right choice.

I carry the Le Pliage for everyday. I love that I can toss it on the floor, or spill something on it, or have my kids drop random stuff in there, and then I can clean it and it looks and feels like new. By clean it, I mean run a wet paper towel over it and turn it inside out to dry. This feature is so important to me I would pay $2000 for it. These bags are a steal 😊

OMG those aren’t even leather? You have to be kidding me.

Longchamp also sells leather bags that are super light weight. Lighter than any other leather bag I've tried.

Not as high end as what OP wants but the Annabel Ingall bags are super lightweight leather (and come in beautiful colors) and the Gigi tote has a zipper.

Maybe I misunderstood OP, but I didn’t think she said this needed to be a tote bag - she said she uses her LePliage bc it is so lightweight, but that she is looking for a lightweight daily shoulder bag.

DP. I would love to see the Guyana bag in person. I keep looking at it. No zipper closure, but does have snaps. It doesn't look that heavy either. But no leather is going to be as lightweight as the bag OP is trying to replace.

What is the Longchamp Raincoat bag? I googled and didn’t find it. What size bag are you looking for? Do you have a color preference?

I think OP means the Longchamp Le Pilage tote.

Le Pliage- ha! Autocorrect. Just want to confirm that there’s not a fancier Longchamp nylon bag called “Le Pilage.”

These are gorgeous, but not very big. If OP is replacing a tote, I assume she wants a bag that can hold a lot. What about and XL Flamenco? It may not be light enough but is roomy.

One of my favorites, too, but does it come with an attachable strap or is it only a clutch?

NP. The Loewe flamenco was going to be my suggestion too (it does come with an adjustable, detachable strap). I think it's so stunning and versatile; I love the way it looks as a crossbody.
