Oh, yes, this is a great one. I saw it as a much older person and was quite moved by it.

Jude, 1996 movie based on Hardy’s Jude the Obscure. I remember sobbing for an hour afterwards. It made me rethink my parenting though my situation was nothing like it at all

The Road, based on Cormac McCarthy’s book. Also devastating.

I would not have thought of Dead Poet's Society, but that fits the bill as well. I would (and do) rewatch that from time to time, but I will never ever ever watch Requiem for a Dream again.

I'm a PP who agreed about Requiem for a Dream, and yeah - it is an amazing movie, but it is not rewatchable.

I’m just about the only 50-year-old who had never seen Fight Club. Watched it on Saturday and have barely stopped thinking about it since.

Requiem for a Dream, for sure. That movie has stayed with me like no other.

I would not have thought of Dead Poet's Society, but that fits the bill as well. I would (and do) rewatch that from time to time, but I will never ever ever watch Requiem for a Dream again.
