I worry about this with Anthropologie. I've had a bunch (6+?) dress occasions since June and have routinely ordered 4-5 dresses and kept one--often when paying $30 for overnight shipping. I'm 49 and my body is all weird (to me) with perimenopausal changes so it takes me a few tries to get a flattering dress. Gone are the days that I can put anything on and look good.
Added to this is a huge Urban Outfitters order we just placed for Homecoming dresses. Bought 6, keeping 1 (maybe). They're all pretty shoddy, sizing is all over the place, etc. It's almost impossible for even a teenager to pick the right dress virtually.

First I got a confirmation for the order and then I got an email from American Eagle saying due to "security concerns" my order has been cancelled and I would not be charged.
So I tried again with a different card and got the same thing. So I called customer service who were really unhelpful but they tried to put it through and were also denied. They said they would escalate to order processing and someone would get back to me in 24 hours.
Today, I got an email from them saying- "Thank you for contacting American Eagle. Unfortunately, your order was unable to be processed and was cancelled by our verification system. Our verification systems are in place with the safety of our customers in mind and we are unable to provide specifics on these processes."
so their verification system must stink because I actually work in cyber and truly was just trying to purchase clothing for my teenager but they think I am some sort of crimlnal. Oh well American Eagle. So now where do I get bras for a teenager??
PU the friggin phone and ask them What is wrong with you?

Yeah, you are setting yourself up nicely for a ban...

Item was marked delivered by the carrier, but she never received it (it either went to the wrong house or got stolen). They refunded her, but banned her from making any future online orders, though she can still shop in store.

Not sure if AE is one of them, but looks like you can request information from them to see why your transaction might have been denied.
