Out of respect to your DH, would only respond with him present (or if not present, as *though* he were, as though he’ll read it later).
Put yourself in his shoes.
So, maybe a little response but rated G for all audiences. Lol. And especially your DH as an audience. If a woman he was involved with for a year, from years ago, texted.. what would you want him to do?
Definitely G rated.
Just different I actually can't remember most peoples names from so long ago. And periodically update my phone/contacts and delete people. Ex. We left a congregation and two years later after many relationships weren't continued I just deleted those people from that chapter. I'm more shocked others don't. Or that he would be thinking of me so long after especially how we ended things
I might be odd but I have every contact ever since 2007. Deleted exes for sure.
But I have a random awesome lady who consulted for my former employer. Would never ever reach out. I have a lot of people like that I barely. I don’t care to delete them and only notice it about 2x per year.
Same here. I just opened my Contacts and one of the first names (an "A" name) is a woman that I saw repeatedly for a mutual friend's wedding functions, like the shower, the bachelorette party, and then the wedding. I'd never met her before or sense. That's been 13 years ago.
It would probably be interesting to go through the whole list and see who is in there.

Haha not so weird. It was 11pm and we were in bed together. I wasn't listening to whatever he was talking about. I think it's more weird he was like don't respond.

Lol mad your troll comments got deleted?

Anonymous wrote:Why can't you just take this at face value? He remembers you fondly, was probably feeling lonely or nostalgic, had your number (I rarely clean out saved numbers on my phone-- why bother?), and reached out. I'm in my 50s and still remember many of my old hookups, especially if they were also friends.
What happens from here is up to you: ignore, respond briefly, catch up, flirt a little, flirt a lot. All are viable options.
Anonymous wrote:Just move on. He wants to reconnect for whatever reason. You’re happily married. Ignore.
