As a Scorsese fan, I went in prepared to like it. It wasn’t nearly as good as his last three movies: Wolf of Wall Street, Silence, or The Irishman. All the supporting cast was not fleshed out at all, the dialogue was bad, and the direction was subpar by Scorsese’s standards.

She did marry into it so that may be her saving grace. So maybe she started off with $1M seed money like Donald Trump, but she turned it into a successful business venture on her own (after using her wealth to have ridiculous contests and gain popularity as a blogger) - though the "ranch" backstory didn't hurt.

I really enjoyed it, as did DH and DS. I'm the only one who had read the book, and I think that helped some, because they both said that there were times things were confusing. I thought Leo did a good job, but was totally blown away by Lily Gladstone. I thought she did such a great job of conveying the unrelenting sorrow and horror about the murders of her family members.

I really enjoyed it. I was actually quite surprised that I didn't get restless or bored. There were a few times I thought they could move it along but the calm pacing was almost a relief from wiz-bang movies. I'm glad I saw it in the theater and looking forward to seeing it again when it gets released on streaming in December.

Loved the book then hated the movie.

Saw it last night and disappointed. Loved the book so maybe that was inevitable. To give Scorsese some credit, I think he tried to move it away from the focus on the FBI investigation but unfortunately I think the book’s twisty detailed plot is largely what made it a compelling read. The focus on the Mollie/Ernest relationship felt a bit contrived (imagine they didn’t have much material on it) and the Ernest character wasn’t so interesting. Some of the imagery was beautiful and interesting but there wasn’t much depth to the Osage characters.

The most boring movie I have ever seen -- by a mile. Nothing. Happened. Awful. 0/10.

Saw it today. I think it should become a staple in high schools as much as Schindler's list is for the teaching of the holocaust. It tells such a bleak and ugly part of American history so well.

It was jarring at first to see these rich native Americans living seemingly healthily among rich whites in that time frame, almost utopian. Of course it was all an illusion.

What struck me most was the darkness of De Neros character and his long term subtle manipulation tactics. He is an excellent wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I am glad to have seen it in the cinema, the cinematography is gorgeous However, It was produced by Apple + for ultimately Apple + and the run time reflects that. It will be perfect as a 3 x 1 hour streaming experience.
