I am the OP.
Would pay full price (including $30,000 in student loans) for almost all top 25 National Universities and about 6 or 7 LACs/SLACs. Of course, depends upon the particular student's interests.
If limited to naming 25 colleges and universities for which I would pay full price (incl. $30,000 in student loans) for an undecided major (non-engineering as that major / area of study requires a serious commitment from one's first semester of college) :
Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, U Penn, Columbia, Chicago, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Duke, Cornell, WashUStL, Johns Hopkins, and Rice.
Williams College, Claremont McKenna College, Amherst College, Middlebury College, Swarthmore College, Pomona College & Davidson College.
My choices are in line with US News rankings. Surrounded by brilliant, motivated students at a school with a healthy endowment.
Also, would have no problem paying resident price for several public National Universities.
