I’m sorry but county offices don’t control things like abortion lol. Anyone saying they absolutely “have to” vote for their incompetent Dem rep on the county board or school board due to “muh abortion” is arguing in bad faith and admitting the following: A) you know the current crop of Dem candidates are deeply flawed and they have done things objectively bad. B) you’re a partisan hack who would find any reason whatsoever to justify your Dem vote.
Don’t hide behind abortion when defending your vote for the crappy Dem candidate. They suck and you know it, just embrace your vote for them at this point.
Exactly this. So sick of morons inserting abortion into discussions about the school board.![]()
Republicans continually use the abortion discussion as a political tool to bind the conscience of Christian voters; the Christians feel they MUST vote Republican or else they are sinnning. Republicans take advantage of this to get votes, then do whatever they (Republicans) want to do in office in area that are not related to abotion. So yes, the abortion issue matters.
Whatever you say. I’m a pro-choice Republican but abortion is not my only issue, especially this year. We get that it’s yours though.
Except you’re ok if abortion is banned in VA.
what’s the source that states this is going to happen? it’s like 26 weeks right now, do you need it right up until birth?
It’s posts like this that make me convinced that Republican voters are straight up lying about abortion.
When Republicans gain control of state government, they ban abortion. Period. It’s like a law of nature. Look what’s happened in other states with unified Republican control. Here in Virginia, Youngkin has vowed to sign “any bill … to protect life” that reaches his desk.
Except that abortion bans aren’t popular. Many Republican voters know this, so they’ve resorted to lying to everyone else about what they really want and what the Republicans they vote for plan to do. Or they lie about nonsense like “up to the moment of birth,” which isn’t a thing that happens.

First time you’re voting for a prolifer who is an election denier?
Oh please! You have to agree; any sane person agrees: the current board is a total disaster.
They are a single-party echo chamber. They have repeatedly indicated they won’t listen to anyone.
The only solution here involves electing at least a few Rs to the board.
The current board’s past behavior is indefensible.
What school board? I see a lot of "the school board is awful" without any county mentioned, let alone specifics if why they are awful. I think the whole thread is trolling.
+1
don’t be disingenuous. fcps.

Democrats will never make abortion legal. It brings in too much money. Would Democrats come out as strong to the polls if the issue was settled?? No! That's why they will never make abortion legal.
There are laws and social contracts preventing men from entering women's reserved spaces. If Title IX is changed so that a women is defined as anyone who says they're a woman, those protection disappear. This is especially bad for womens' and girls' sports, women's prisons, abuse shelters, etc. The fact that you deny this means you're either a misogynist or so woke you've lost your mind.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Manufactured? People who care more about a manufactured LGBTQ issues than a woman’s right to control her own body probably aren’t D to start with.
Yes, this is manufactured to spin people up. This is not an 80s sitcom, people do not get their birth certificate reissued or take expensive medication so they can pee in the stall next to you for nefarious purposes.
If you're worried about assault, let's talk about assault - there's little preventing a cis man from walking into a womens bathroom or locker room today, after all, so if that's a real worry then let's explore that instead of demonizing a tiny group of people who aren't hurting you.
