Baggage issues haven’t been my issue but significant delays and cancellations with not effort to help. Canceling a flight from Cincinnati to DC and not have any solutions at all is not ok. A flight the next day to Chicago is not a real solution but that is what we weee offered. 8 hour delay in Seattle. 3 hours in the runway at Dulles. So long that a passenger claimed a medical emergency to get off the plan. It’s bananas now.
I'm guessing you don't fly in Europe much...

Even if you only fly once per year, you can inccur MASSIVE losses to the tune of thousands of dollars down the drain when airlines screw up and travel plans get delayed.
Funny how all of the sudden Dems sound like they don't care about the consumer and their rights anymore when they have incompetent leaders in charge while the entire system is a gigantic dumpster fire. Thousands and thousands of people at being economically harmed by airlines, where's Mayor Pete?
Just this week my wife's boss had to travel to Italy for a business trip. It was a direct friggin' flight with an American airline. The boss also paid for his wife to go because they turned it into a mini trip after the business meeting. What do you think the American airline did? Lose their baggage of course. They had to spend over $1000 each in order to buy clothing, health supplies, etc. over there.
Like how do you lose luggage on a direct friggin' flight? Of course the airline will make it possible to receive compensation for the costs incurred.

Lost baggage constant, filthy planes and airports,.....it's like the US has devolved into a 2nd world country and gives zero craps anymore about maintaining standards. Travel has just gotten so, sooooooo bad under Biden. And what does his transportation secretary Mayor Pete do? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. No pressure on ailrines ever even after they got tons of taxpayer dollars to stay alive. Consumers have almost no recourse and airlines screw up and do something like lose your baggage on a direct flight. Travel in the US and from th US using American airlines is just horrific experience and yet all Biden's hiree mayor Pete does is collect paychecks and do nothing. Biden hired him because he was a diversity hire, but the end results are a disastrous decline in the quality and standards for travel to and from the US.
I've now been on 3 flights domestically within the last 3 years. 2 lost baggage on a friggin direct flight, and the other had such significant delays that it ruined a lot of lodging plans and plans at the destination causing thousands in losses. Of course it has been impossible to obtain any kind of compensation because the airlines' mistakes caused major delays. I'm so done with Biden. We need a competent leader who'll hire the best candidates to do critical jobs like running this country's transportation infrastructure, not have a leader in office who throws a bone to diversity candidates who have no idea what they're doing.

You'd not travel much do you? Flying in the US is a disaster.

They do that in Europe, right?
Isn’t the socialism?
So we’re pro socialism, now?
I’m just asking questions
Who talked about ownership? The federal govt already regulates them, for better or worse. If they already regulate them, then why are they getting worse? It means Biden and his transportation secretary suck at their jobs.
You do understand that regulating something, does not mean you run something? Right?
Like the government regulates many industries, but doesn’t actually run them.
You do get that? Right?

OP is 100% correct. Pete is useless.
I believed in Pete and he’s become such a disappointment
Was his Rhodes cohort weaker than raimondo and Sullivan’s?
