The data was 100k-200k..most moved to PG county because it was the only place they could afford a home.
It’s not some anti DC conspiracy..young people want to own a home and those in the 100-200k can’t afford a home in DC proper so they are looking further out. Seems pretty normal to me.
The actual high income earners aren’t leaving Wesley Heights for Bethesda
got damn since when is 200k not high income in your vapid mind?

DC home prices are artificially inflated anyways so this is not a surprise. Its just the market readjusting itself to normalize. During the pandemic, housing prices grew to quickly based on panic.

We left because of school closures and lunatic covidiocy. We are enjoying our lower taxes and lack of virtue signaling yard signs. Bye!

Some people who are wealthy by the standards of the dweebs in flyover land maybe are going back to middle-of-nowheres... but people who are successful in DC have always lived in DC and that ain't changing.
What? DC home prices did NOT increase as much as in the burbs and other locations like Florida and Texas. DC home prices performed the worst out of any large city in the US.
You aren't paying attention. In my neighborhood alone, prices have easily doubled in the last three years.

Nope. DC has a tax crisis and will be hundreds of millions in the red for the budget soon because property values are tanking.

200K is DC is not high income. That’s barely middle class. High earners in my DC neighborhood start at at least 500K ( on the low end) and up to millions. And none of my neighbors are moving out, and if they did, they’d be selling to other high earners.
