Maybe it all those families were signing up in droves, using the facilities, hosting all their parties there, this wouldn't have been the outcome. Highly unlikely the gym decided to cut off highly profitable programming to satisfy a few pickle ball enthusiasts.

You lost. You and your kids aren’t special to anyone except yourselves.
-not old, not a Boomer, not “blue-haired,” don’t play pickleball, so don’t bother being predictable
Sounds like you should get a job at Lifetime! You would really fit into their We Hate the Future corporate ethos.

With this change, our programming at Centreville will shift away from basketball, rock wall, kids summer camp and birthday parties; however, the remainder of our kids programming will not be affected.

Why?
I plan pickleball, I don't play basketball?
My kids play basketball, but I don't begrudge a gym taking some basketball space for pickleball, yoga, pilates, etc. I want a healthy community and I like to see the old people out there enjoying themselves. (I guess the old people didn't like seeing kids playing basketball).
Honestly, yu sound very self-centered.
Stop calling people old
Old is not an insult. Old is just a fact. We only saw old people ever playing pickleball.
The way you are using it an insult. And let me introduce you to Anna Leigh Waters, 16 years old professional player! Not old by a LONG shot.

not indoors. and obviously playing on an indoor court is much better in every way. And they aren't reducing the membership fees to reflect the lack of basketball. In fact they are telling people if they want to keep the basic amenity of court space, they have to drive 30 minutes to go elsewhere AND pay a whole lot more. Hence the unhappy customers.
They're kids! Why can't they play outside?! We actually have great weather here in the DC area.
Kids in my neighborhood like the neighborhood basketball courts because you see a lot more people you know. You can just ask neighbors to go with you anytime.
