Yep. And it's a LOT more...like 2 to 10 times more in some cases. The only people who want this are bad servers and the DSA (who was the driving force behind the DC bill and might be behind the MoCo bill as well).

They still will. Plenty of people will still tip, but probably a little less. That’s how it should be: an extra for the excellent service, not an expectation to pay their wages.

Unless you're a regular, they're not going to remember you. It doesn't matter if they have your name; they don't see it until the end of your meal. Restaurants are busy and wait staff turns over.

I never worked a tipped job and didn’t know this. I thought bartenders were all tipped jobs.
