The healthy weight range for your height is 121-153 lbs. At 125, you're near the bottom of the healthy weight range.

Any doctor who would prescribe a drug to lose weight when someone is four pounds away from being unhealthfully underweight should lose their license.

You need to seriously revisit your priorities, and if you're fixated on your weight and can't get past it, you should see a therapist. This is not healthy.

Everybody treating this like “oh yeah what a problem, let’s fix it.”

125 at 5’7 is nearly underweight and a tiny pooch isn’t worth this level of intense scrutiny. A surgeon for five pounds and a pooch!?

Agree, this is astounding. Do you want to die over this? You are borderline underweight. A weight loss drug and/or lipo is not at all medical appropriate for you and would be extremely dangerous. You are demented.

Every Mother (formerly called the Dia method) helped me get rid of my pooch after 2 c-sections and Diastysis recti (sp?)

Honey, you're getting older. Women's bodies change. Belly pooches happen. You are clearly not overweight and apparently not continually gaining weight. The "cure" is changing your mindset and accepting the minimal changes your aging body has brought you. Seriously. Get over yourself.

You need to have a BMI of 27.2 or higher to be considered for semaglutides for weight reduction. Your BMI is 19.6, so you are well below the target weight for those who get prescribed semaglutides for weight. To give you an idea, at your height, you would need to be 173+ before they would recommend semaglutides.

And for those who consider her underweight, based on the CDC BMI tables, 18.5 is considered underweight and she is 19.6 which is considered the low side of normal range. She's close. 118 would be considered underweight. So, OP is trying to get to within 2 pounds of what is considereed underweight.

OP, you should really reconsider. Your target weight is borderline underweight. If you feel you need to get to 120, then you should consult with a doctor to find out why you want to get to an unhealthy weight. That weight is not recommended and you should reconsider. You are currently at a healthy weight. Do not push it.

This is the most sensible and non hyperbolic post I think I have ever read on this web forum!

OP's current weight it fine. I am 5ft 7in and 122lb and that is the best weight for my very small frame, once it hit 126ish and more my blood pressure goes up and I have jiggly upper and inner thighs and arms. Hard to see in my clothes but I notice unclothed.

Jiggly thighs and arms are not a result of weight gain but of loss of tone. There are many people at your height that weigh significantly more than you and are toned and do not have jiggly limbs. If you added 4 lbs of muscle, then you would not have the jiggly problem. If your thighs and arms are jiggly, then you need to have exercises for those areas. As muscle replaces fat, you will stay at the same weight (or increase weight even) and will lose the jiggly fat.

Is it possible after three pregnancies you have diastasis recti that’s making you look pregnant now? That can be addressed with exercise (minor case) or may need surgical intervention if it’s progressed enough.

OK... I too am 5'7" and weigh 123 lbs. I am small framed and definitely do not look I have an eating disorder/nor do I have one! I am however extremely lean with lots of muscles and not a lot of fat. If I were to jump to 126 I would def have a belly. So leave the OP alone, when you are lean to begin with a little bit of extra weight really shows. That being said - OP you need to change your body comp and not take a drug! You need to gain muscle and loose fat. Lift heavy weights, eat protein and put yourself in a calorie deficit.

Lipo is the right answer for this and will be less expensive than ozempic considering you’d need to pay out of pocket anyways.

The cool thing with lipo is that the fat doesn’t come back in the area even if you gain weight. But, fat has to go somewhere so you may see it accumulate in new places if you gain.

I used Wegovy to lose 30 pounds. Itstill left me with a little belly. I have no idea why those 5 pounds are still there when the rest of my body totally changed. So if this is not a troll and you actually get an RX, these medicines are probably going to work for how you want.

I see your body dysmorphia must affect your reading comprehension.

Being naturally small framed is ok. Tell my PCP and other docs that I am at a unhealthy weight, they are not going to tell me oh you need to gain 5 to 10 pounds for no reason at all.

Um, there is a supply shortage here also, and middle class American women are also buying it to lose weight to decrease the risk of heart attack and stroke (among other reasons), not just for aesthetic reasons.

I am on Wegovy and having zero side effects, and it's working well-about 2 lbs a week and I just started the .5 dose. But it's not melting right off the middle OP, that's not how it works. My dr would certainly never prescribe it for you for 5 lbs.

So then exercise and watch your diet. I am not sure how a medication, which helps you lose weight, actually makes you healthier on the inside if you are not moving your body and eating crap food.

Thanks for your input. I do those things, and the medication helps my body respond appropriately to it.
