My son wears DL 1961. Usually in the Brady Slim.

I don’t allow anything with an elastic waist to be worn to school. My DS wears American Eagle or Abercrombie jeans every day or chino shorts when’s it’s hot.

For a teenager? This seems really controlling, unless this is a private school that has a dress code that prohibits it.

Empyr is cool for baggy, skater-types; I don't get it - they're just jeans with an ugly logo patch. But I'm obviously not a teen.

My kid wears baggy jeans from H&M or thrifted Levi's (at least 2 sizes too big). I'd say he's pretty typical in how he dresses compared to the other kids.

I keep asking my teen if he wants jeans. Nope.

I have a teen son in bethesda and he and his friends don’t wear jeans but his older sister likes Levi’s. I think that’s probably a safe bet in a very classic cut (not tight but think something Bruce S would have worn in the 70s or 80s). Black and grey jeans probably also okay. I think the very baggy jeans read as feminine now because that’s what all the girls are wearing.

American Eagle might work but is a little more risky because it could be perceived as too “mall trendy” in some circles. I feel like Levi’s transcends all of that because of its historical street cred.

I recently went back to buying Levi’s myself because I was with my teen.

DS wears Levi's, new not thrifted. I agree that most boys at his school do not wear jeans, but some do.

For the lower end - My DS isn’t fashionable so maybe not helpful but he got AE jeans in a slightly baggy style.
