In case your student is taking it again, you don't have to take it at your own school. My child has found certain schools to be better at getting everyone in on time and proctoring than others. Whitman in Bethesda is the best in our experience (not our local school/30 minutes drive for us, but worth it).

My kid said that they did not check identification. Also, the proctor only remembered to take admission tickets as they were leaving.

DS took the ACT there last year and it was a total disaster. He went to a MoCo HS this time, which he said was fine. It did get hot and smelly in there by the end tho. He was pleased there wasn't an experimental section! I didn't get much info about the test. He has a 1430 on the books from last year, but was trying to raise his math score.

My kids SAT started late too - we went to pick them up at 11.15 and they came out at 12.

Neither of them remembers the potato question. I don't know if that's a good thing, or a bad one...

Yep. We were there by 7:30 like it said. Ours started more like an hour late but The issue was the line to check in was so long.

I heard some of the math questions were hard and my daughter ran out of time and couldn’t answer 3 questions.

And of course - students on the "Z" list or intentionally waitlisted to be admitted stats do not impact the scores the schools report.

The Common Data set will also tell you the percentage of students who submit and don’t. So where your daughter is below the 50th percentile, she can also see that she could be part of a large majority in not submitting. Maybe seeing that 72% of applicants also didn’t submit (which might well be the case) will help.


What also makes the decision to submit or not tricky is that we don't know the exact profile of the students that did not submit scores.
Perhaps the non-score admitted students had certain "hooks" like legacy, full pay, urm, etc.
