They want UAW to earn up to $50/hr. Lol, there are so many jobs out there that require education and years of training that make less than that.
Fire them all and replace with migrant workers coming over the border. Or better yet, close all of the plants and make everything in Mexico and El Salvador. Kill two birds with one stone by reducing labor costs and giving jobs to central Americans who need to get out of poverty that drives them to come here in the first place.
First ups drivers get $170k. Now UAW workers get $100k. What's next, giving the secretary in the office $150k? Yeah, kiss prices good buy with skyrocketing inflation. Can't wait until burgers cost $72 and you need to make $1M per year just to live a middle class life.

This doesn't go on for too long before they are out of business.

Looks like a strike for Auto workers is likely in Fall.
how long will it be until Democrats and urban elites condemn the auto workers for the audacity of asking for a raise?
“This is our time to take back what we are owed. Working together with the companies doesn’t work for us,” Fain said Friday in a live stream update to members. “The only way the working class advances is if we stand together … the only way we’re ever going to have a better quality of life for ourselves and our families is if we fight for it.”

CEO have historically got all the gains from the workers’ productivity. Now that we have declining demographics, I think we will see more strikes. Labor unions are long over due for wins that serve the average worker.
Somewhat agree though many union leaders are more about themselves versus the people the represent. There is disfunction in the unions too. Also, pensions are great except they require too many younger workers to prop up one retiree. The traditional ways of thinking inside and outside the unions needs to change.
I've been saying this for some time. Unions helped put steel out of business here. Not the only cause, but striking at the wrong times did not help.
Look at the Teachers' Union. Do you really think Randi Weingarten cares about kids or teachers? No. She cares about her union and its cronies.
Auto Unions did this many years ago in destroying Midwestern cities. I have no sympathy and in no way support these clowns. If they want to put the last nail in the coffin of US automakers so be it.
