Which one? The Mauna Lani is one of my favorite resorts in the world.
One of my good friends stayed at the mauna lani recently and LOVED it. It is out of our price range for this trip.
My parents used a bazillion Hilton points for 3 rooms at Hilton Waikoloa Village at the end of the trip.
We are going for my parents 70th bday with them and my family of 5, plus my sister and it's a super expensive time of year to go! I suggested that we possibly go another time of year but my grandmother passed away this year (at age 94), and we always used to celebrate Christmas with her and my parents were very adamant that we had to do this Hawaii trip over Christmas for the first one without her. I was proud of myself for making all of the lodging work for this size group and such a popular time. It was a challenge but I am happy with what we ended up with. Maybe sometime my husband and I can return alone and do mauna lani
You will have a great time on the Big Island no matter where you stay, but you will definitely have fun at Hilton Waikoloa Village.
I got married at the Mauna Lani, so I'm partial to it, but yeah, it's expensive -- especially now after the gazillion dollar renovation. I recommend you and DH go back!
My husband and I went to Maui (one week) and Kauai (one week) for our honeymoon in 2006 and loved it, but we haven't been back since! I was in Oahu when I was 4 y/o but never been to the Big Island. I am looking forward to it.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:winter break - Big Island Hawaii (vrbo, natl park lodging, and resort last 2 nights)
