Border patrol chiefs, agents, management and workers are united on that.

I actually agree that creating "free" benefits for the very poor and undocumented while lower middle class Americans are struggling and paying out the wazoo for everything is bad policy.

I also know that foreign women seeking to have their children in the US look for states where they can claim to have no money and have them for "free" even if they are wealthy (I have relatives who have done this).

Healthcare should be "free" for everyone and the costs should be heavily managed by the government.

HOWEVER, the cost of having an American citizen born without pre-natal care is SO HIGH that whatever potential perverse incentives may be created here are immediately negated. It costs the government SO MUCH MONEY to take care of a citizen who may be disabled for the rest of their lives because they did not get adequate pre-natal and post natal care. There is no way around this.

Meanwhile the dairy industry in Wisconsin says they would have to shut down if they couldn’t rely on undocumented workers, and Devin Nunes’ family farm in Iowa relies on them too.

There are not enough people in America willing to do hard ag labor for peanuts to staff our farms.

Go look at the UAW twitter feed— you get paid like $5 to pick 20 lbs of cherries (and you might have to choose between doing it in 95 degree heat or doing it overnight).
