I wonder why the polling was close even though there was a blow out loss. Or I guess less surprising to me would be if the media companies simply promoted an "it's gonna be close" narrative without polling that supported that narrative because horse races get clicks.

Sorry misunderstood. I thought this was about polls. The articles I read leading up said it was going to be close. Also my Nextdoor has been bonkers with people who were misinformed. I was incredibly worried, and I can’t explain the relief I feel today. More than relief, I feel hope and renewed faith in my fellow Ohioans.
I apologize, I misunderstood that the PPP was referring to polls and not results. You were right. I'm so happy for you. I know the relief. I live in Michigan.

I think PP was referring to polls going in. That's what I was reading as well...it could go either way. Nobody expected this blowout. Republicans are in real trouble in 2024 with this anchor on them (but now curious to read the spin on why this isn't true...)
