If so, I’d really appreciate if you could help me through the process. When I unenroll my child, do I say she’s going to private school? Do I have to provide the school name? I’m just feeling really confused here. Thanks
OP, if you were talking to me about this at a party, I would ask: what do you plan to do if this doesn't work?
How would it not work? What could happen?

This is so bizarre. You move into a residence zoned for a "home" school, yet since it's part of the DCCC and you are already a DCCC student, one cannot attend the home school?
If so, this would be reason #1 why I would never want B-CC or Woodward or any other school to be absorbed into a consortium.
Your "home school" is the DCC.
No, the home school is Blair which is part of the DCC.
No, it's not. Blair is the "base school."

If you put an address in the DCC into the MCPS school assignment tool, what you get for the high school assignment is: "DCC ([base school])" - where [base school] is the name of whichever of the 5 DCC high schools the address is in the base area of.

What rules? Yours?
Home is in Blair area. Blair is home school. Families aren’t tied to past addresses.
DP. MCPS's rules. For enrollment in the DCC. Home is in the DCC area.

The registrar does not that power if a DCC school. You must go through the Consortia with appropriate paperwork.
--former registrar, DCC
