When I see a person with a mask, my first thought is "this person must have a suppressed immune system, either from cancer treatment or other immune suppressants like those used for auto-immune diseases"

It depends on if they have other symptoms of anxiety.

If I stopped to think about it, and I don't, I guess I wold assume that they have something contagious, are getting ready for surgery, are immune compromised, or have an event/visit coming up and do not want to be sick for it.

If they are young, I assume mentally ill who consumes too much far-left media. I work with several of these -- age 20s and 30s, no health issues, still wear N95 all day and won't eat at a restaurant in 2023.
