A “failure”? Some people really look for things to whine about.

Yeah people are dramatic. Looking on the state's website. They don't have 2023 date yet. So assume we are waiting on them.

I don’t blame APS or care that much but a) the state has SOL results already, and if they (state and/or county) really should communicate why they are taking so long to be released and b) that document was pointless and raised more questions than it answered so it’s silly that they put it on parentvue.

Maybe Youngkin fired the number crunchers so it takes longer to calculate percentiles.

Ha I don't think they even put percentiles on regular SOL reports but sometimes I do wonder if Youngkin's admin does stupid stuff to make local school boards look stupid. Regardless I think APS should be communicating with parents on this. Maybe just "hey, we aren't sure when the state is going to release SOL scores but we will keep you posted!"

DD’s got a little over 550 in math SOL in 2021-2022 school year (3rd grade). She made quite a few mistakes according to the list of subjects, so I thought the score was not that great because I thought 600 is the max? I didn’t realize until yesterday it actually puts her at 98%. So that’s a plus.

It’s obviously an erroneous document. My rising 7th had only 4th and 5th scores and not even the actual scores just the percentiles. I’m sure they will correct next week.

It’s all Youngkin’s fault.

They wait to include the state data.

FCPS posts SOL scores in mid-June.

Including the state percentiles?

Duran gets an incomplete for these SOL reports. What a failure to not have the 2023 SOL results by the end of July.

Same or similar document posted in my kid's account. Going into 5th grade this fall, and they posted just the 3rd grade scores and nothing for 4th, so we don't even see a comparison. Was this what they intended?

That's what I got too. Totally useless and must be a mistake.

I actually laughed out loud. All this holding up the scores for the completely wrong document.

I mean it's not the wrong document. It is a new assessment the state puts out.
It is wrong. It doesn't have data from this year. It only has one data point from a year ago. I have a rising 5th grader and it only had her 3rd grade scores.

It doesn't have data from this year because the state only included data from 2015 to 2022. But I agree that it is odd that your last yr scores aren't on there.

It is wrong BECAUSE last school year’s scores aren’t on there. Apparently, for anyone. If they wanted to release a chart comparing 2015 to 2021 data then there’s no reason that they had to wait until summer of 2023 to produce it, without the 2022-2023 data point.
