There is no way they could possibly be thinking a Jan 31 deadline for spring rec is feasible. Our regular registration is open into March.

Anonymous wrote:I hope this doesn't fall through. DD's club only fields one rec team at her age, so there is no possibility of just playing other teams from her for a season

I think you know what would happen. The travel parents would get angry, and the club would eventually lose players/teams/MONEY.
But you've got me thinking of something...: Rec teams vs lower tier travel teams as a travel team fundraiser.
Let's say rec team puts up $200 to play against a travel team.
Travel team keeps $200 to use toward whatever (like tournament registration fees).
Rec team plays for fun and bragging rights.
Our club has scrimmages. From what I've seen, top travel team win big and second or third teams really struggle against good rec teams.

No idea who that is, did they have SFL teams
Last year?
DCSC is the old Stoddert. One of the biggest members of NCSL.

SFL usually sent an email out in early Jan with Feb deadlines for rosters, team signups, field loading, etc. We need to know how NCSL is going to structure the divisions and league before we can set up our spring teams-are they changing any age groups or birthdate rules? How many divisions per age group? Are they keeping the rule that everyone must play 50% of the game? Are they changing any rules on dual rostering? etc etc.
Are they going to seperate travel from rec or just place rec in the bottom travel brackets.
