CLC O is the best game in town other than CLC Blue. Unless you want to drive to Maryland…

Did she do any of the Capital pre-tryout clinics or take private lessons? I hope the best for your daughter, but if the first time they saw her was last night then it could be a tough mountain to climb. That being said girls do turn down CLC O so girls on the waitlist get invited so while they only take 40 ish the actual number of girls who get offers will be higher than that.

Most of the best athletes will make it, but if your daughter didn't pay the money for Private Lessons from the Deputy Director then your chances of making it will be much lower. On balance both teams will be the best players, but around the margins politics and money are what get you on the team.

What team did your DD play for? I’d like to think the best athletes/players make it over just based on what team you came from.

Roughly 150 players trying out for 40 field player spots and 4 goalies.

The reality is maybe up to 5 spots will be available for the Blue team, not 20. So about a 4% chance of making that team when you remove the 15 or so who were selected prior to tryouts. The Orange team will be wide open.

Show up and be a positive teammate and team player. Hustle hard, and do not worry about making mistakes. Leave it all on the field. You have no control over what other players do but you can control how hard you work at your tryouts.

Northeast is real strong in 2025’s. Capital Blue is right there with M&D Black as tops in mid-Atlantic and one of the best in the US but YJ Spallina and Mass Elite and maybe Steps NJ are slightly ahead of those in this area.

Capital 2025 Blue did finish ahead of both Hero’s and SW this weekend at G8. Although it looks like the entire mid Atlantic can’t compete with LI, NJ or MA.
Wonder why other regions r crushing rhe Mid-Atlantic? Might it be parenting?

Ahhh have you not seen the LI and NJ parents? F’ing cray.

It’s all about recruiting, and Capital 25 will excel in committing players to the best schools in the country, just like they always do.

This is not the case at the younger years as the Mid Atlantic is real strong
