We're on the verge of July and I don't want to get to September and think, "Whoops, I forgot to make/eat X!"
What makes you think "It's really summer now"?
So I took that as asking about summer traditional foods and I listed mine. For me it wouldn’t be summer without watermelon for breakfast. It’s just a list of ideas, nothing serious about it.

Soft shell crab
Caprese salad
BLT/similar sandwich
Corn on the cob (simple and elote-fied)
Stone fruits and melons
Squash, zucchini, eggplant especially grilled
Flounder
We live in NYC, so there are also some specific treats we look forward to each summer. My favorites are picking up a khachapuri and eating it on Brighton Beach (with a stop by Tashkent Supermarket on the way home — if you know you know) and coco helado.
