Haven’t you noticed? DC is solid, locked-in, progressive-controlled. From the Mayors office to the council to the ANCs: it is all far-left progressives.
Crime is bad for their reputation. But if you delete news of Crimea, it’s as if no one knows or remembers the crime ever happened. Kinda like “the memory hole” in 1984.

I see the following threads right now:
- Bowser proposal to toughen DC's approach to crime draws resistance from the Council
- Assault at Gallery Place station
- Kennedy St crew indicted on drug, gun, and money laundering charges
- Logan/Dupont burglary - I am devastated. What should come next?
- Flashed on the red line (Dupont to Woodley Park)
- Less than 40% of MPD's arrests for illegal guns result in a conviction
- Burgled last weekend (NOMA)
They rapidly delete or lock them.
Can you share some screenshots to prove this?

posts. DC is in the news for its extremely high murder rate and there are a lot of other systemic issues. I don’t buy the explanation that “we had to delete too many racist comments.” I think they were influenced by the people who believe that all discussion of crime is racist because it makes people think about crime. I’ve had run-ins with these types before. They try to exert social pressure to silence discussion about crime.
They -- and the more persistent commenters on that sub who complain whenever there's a crime post -- are coming at this from a position of *extreme* privilege. Because crime hasn't affected them personally, they don't think it's a problem and are completely baffled that people want to talk about it.
It’s more than that. There are “progressives” who believe that talking about crime and tracking crime reports is racist, and they even attack black sources of information (eg the Twitter accounts like Realtimenews.) They affirmatively want to censor discussion of crime.

Goes against the narrative.
