Yes, street name did factor into our decision but only slightly. We were just a bit more eager to view houses with "cool" street names. (My husband and I are a bit nerdy so our cool is probably DCUM’s "childish"). But the house itself is the most important thing so we never ended up offering on any houses with nice street names, because the house itself was lacking in some way.

I would not buy a house on a street with a truly terrible name like “Pedophile ave" though.

Any Chicagoans here know the common denominator of Paulina, Melvina, and Lunt?

I lived on Lovers Lane.

My parents bought their first newly built house in a new development with an awful street name similar to Scurfpea Drive. What the heck was a scurfpea, anyway? Turns out it’s an obscure flower. They planted Scurfpea at the mailbox.

We used to live on Havard without the R, and every time we gave our address, people thought we were from Boston.

“Where do you live?”

I'm looking out in Burke and ruled out Downhaul lane and Protest ct based on the street name.

There is a Devil Lane in Woodbridge. I'm curious why it hasn't been changed.

We live next to a street in Alexandria called Mansion Drive.

The houses are gorgeous on that street but I would cringe a bit if someone asked for my address and I had to say “oh come on over to visit the address is 314 Mansion Drive.”

We refused to look at a house on Mansion Drive. Lovely home but I would feel like an AH every time I said my address.
