Same. I'm also not someone who referred to my kid going to a school as "we" go to Kennedy High School. Some people seemed really wrapped up in their kids.

This. Nor did I write my child’s college applications or become overly invested in where they go. The parents on this board who are all stressed out senior year? I was not them. They all get in somehow here and it works out.

Probably, but they'll be gentle tears of joy. As a few PPs have mentioned, I'll be very happy and emotional to see many of our DC's friends graduate too, some of whom have had a very difficult road.

As they say, live moves on. Thank goodness. Whew!

I did at the two older kids high school graduations, but didn't at college drop off. Think it was an ending of a phase of my life and so shed some tears. We'll see what happens with the youngest in a couple of years.

I just get teary eye more often now then before. Don't know why. Becoming a mom changed me alot. I actually care about other people. When you hear about people graduating or making big accomplishments, my kid finishing up (just) 7th grade, when he goes off to college, will i be alive to witness it! All sorts of things. Even hearing the national anthem....I wasn't even born in the US!
