My DD doesn't love jeans either but will wear them on occasion. It seems like it is legging city at her current school (we are temporarily in another state for a year). Next year we are back to uniforms, which she loves and takes seriously (i.e., she wears skirts and blouses when so many kids wear school tshirts and quasi-sweatpants), so this tells me it's not that she wants to wear athleisure or look more casual, it's just that she doesn't find jeans comfortable.

Never. No pants with buttons or zippers at all - no jeans, no trousers, no khakis. Same rule for shorts.

I have tons of hand me downs and immediately donate all the hard pants. They don’t get worn.

Girls are more prone to wearing jeans in HS but even then it's rare. They live in leggings and joggers.

Mine don’t. They don’t even own jeans anymore.

Mine wears either khakis, khaki joggers (I'm not sure how to describe them? They are khaki fabric but have elastic on the top and bottom) or khaki shorts to school, and then the rest of the time its all gym shorts and sweatpant/track pants.

Mine refuse. They only want soft pants. The closest I can usually get is jeggings for DD - if it's a special occasion!

They are too stiff and uncomfortable compared to track pants. People aren’t working on farms and factories anymore, we don’t need heavy duty clothes.

My ES boy wears jeans in fall and winter, and my daughter will not touch them with a forked stick.

I think I had sisters of those pants in college.

Mine hates "hard pants." Lol at jeans being church clothes. Would have loved that as a kid instead of scratchy stockings and dresses!

My elementary DD wears a lot of jeans and gets tons of compliments on them. I think she's sort of a trend setter, and thrives on the positive attention. She likes ones like these:
