And you're blaming that on her? Ever heard of this process called "casting" and the concept of "typecasting"? She made her name initially as a girl putting on a fake "creepy" vibe and eye-rolling at everything sincere. So she gets cast with that type of role again. Wouldn't be surprised if she would love to be cast way against type, but even semi-well-known working actors like her do have to actually find, get and keep roles, even ones they might feel are "the same character over and over" sometimes.

Yes, very try hard. She acts like a young teenager trying to be cool by hating everything.
NP. What you describe is exactly what her Parks and Rec character was. Exactly. Even down to being a teenager; April Ludgate is supposed to still be a teen when the series begins. Too cool for everything.
I haven't seen a lot of her other roles though I know she's got an overall distanced, cool vibe in some of them, like the April character again.
But I think OP and some others on this thread are unable (and unwilling) to comprehend that characters are not actual humans and actors are not their characters IRL. In fact, some actors are still acting "themselves" when they're giving interviews and doing appearances so you can't ever really know who or what they are.
Feeling put off by any actor's roles is one thing. Assuming the actor as a person is like, well, anything that you personally understand, is dumb. You don't and can't know them. So it's a strange investment of emotion to feel you just have to vent about them as people. Bash the acting skill or the characters all you like, but don't conflate them with the person. Not just with Plaza, with any actor.

So, you don't participate in the horrible Gwyneth Paltrow-bashing threads? Or any of the threads on this forum, for that matter?

How do you feel about Latinas in general?
Ah, the race card! Remember, everybody - we are not to criticize anyone who is a POC. Not one negative word. Only white people are fair game.

NP. She’s literally ascribing negative personality traits based on her look which is in turn influenced by her racial background.
No, her "look" isn't based on her racial background. The OP said she has a "catty, mean look that freaks (her) out." That has zero to do with anything racial.Nice try though.

People who blather on about “the race card” are literally the worst.
People who trot out the race card any time a POC is criticized are the worst. Literally.
is she a person a color? I thought she was white

No, not posts like these. I have nothing against GP, I don't know the woman personally. I like this forum to discuss movies and tv.
