If you aren’t getting a referral for late stage abortion, and we have to assume this family wasn’t given one, it is not simple at all to get the procedure.
It’s also possible this family didn’t comprehend what this delivery was going to be like.
I don’t think many people have any idea how awful this would be. It’s good they are coming forward to shed light on the consequences of these laws.
It has made me understand that there should be no limits set on abortion.
It’s healthcare.

Can you explain to me, if you are anti abortion, why are you OK with the idea that this woman can still pack her husband and 4 year old up in a car and leave the state for an abortion? I don't get the logic of why an abortion is OK in one situation and not another.

It's a reference to The Handmaid's Tale.

Not a huge fan of the later writing in that show because the show never deals with the evil women who supported the conservative establishment, and just decides to make them "feminist" after they suddenly getting the brutal slap of sexism, which they always thought was just for the Handmaids. And the show NEVER holds the evil wives accountable for destroying a free society and enslaving fertile women (and fully supporting their rapes). That hypocrisy and fake sisterhood turned me off of the show.

I never knew then how accurately it would one day describe Republican women, who are not my sisters and never will be. I don't even see them as real women anymore...they're enablers of rape and torture, the enslavers of wombs, and they deserve to burn in their religious Hell. They deserve to suffer the consequences of their actions. 100%.

Maybe you should send your request to know why this family failed to do what you would have done. Make your question very pointed and rub it in that you are clearly superior to them. No matter they are grieving, just twist that knife in a little farther. After all, you are superior in every way and there can be no reason they failed to live up to your standard other than they are clearly inferior and incompetent. No reason at all.

You could say it when she wanted to terminate after finding out the baby wouldn’t survive. They forced her to carry to term and give birth to a baby that would live 99 minutes to watch him struggle and die. They also had to pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege of watching their son die.

Let’s not sanitize or dehumanize Milo’s death or the family’s experience and pretend it wasn’t traumatic or preventable. Let’s not pretend the family or doctors were cruel because they couldn’t give him a pain free (albeit short) life. That’s why she wanted to terminate in the first place. To prevent her son from experiencing that pain, to prevent herself and her family from having to watch him suffer through it.


And what this probably means, for the parents who watched their son die in pain, is that they will be traumatized, have an avalanche of hospital bills, and no baby to show for it.

Will their marriage survive, and if it does, will they even want to try again for another baby?

Republican Christian fascists haven't thought this through.
