This is experience from CVS, not Walgreens. If you go into the pharmacy where it’s on back order, they can look up which location has it. Then you can decide if you’re willing to drive there and they’ll move the prescription, and it’s ready by the time you get to the other one or shortly thereafter. From what they’ve told me, they don’t have a good sense of when they’ll get more so this is a way to get it in hand if you don’t want to chance it and have a few hours to dedicate to the errand. Watch out because they all close for lunch now so that will delay everything.

Since this has been around for awhile, my doc's office has had patients who were on it and have gone off and managed to maintain their weight for at least a year so far. I think an important part is sticking with the changes. I wonder if it takes a certain amount of time for the changes to become permanent or if you need to taper back down so that you get used to being off the meds and make the necessary adjustments. I don't know, but they have patients who have successfully transitioned off. It sounds like it is really person specific, like how some maintain loss after trying other methods and others gain weight back.

It’s honestly like a miracle.

I felt it immediately.

My mom is going on 4 months and is up to 1.75mg and feels nothing.

How did you get the scrip for it?

After dinner last night, I got up and realized that I still had half my dinner on my plate and I wasn't hungry. I still get some munchies at 4pm, but I am able to eat a little bit and solve it (where as before I felt like I could eat an endless amount of sweet things at 4pm and never stop.) My weight is constantly up and down but overall, I think I am down about a pound a week. I did also add in exercise.

Congrats. I am close to the end of month 3, still at .5, and am down 20 lbs. I've cut portion sizes in half, and no snacking. What a difference.

Wow! I am at the end of week 8 and down 8 lbs. It's slow, but steady. I actually don't know that these posts help me a lot b/c I tend to compare and then get disappointed I am not seeing the same results, but I have to remember everyone's journey is different. I have to remember I am lucky to have this option and that I am seeing changes, even if they aren't life changing at this time That said, I can't even imagine snacking.

Anonymous wrote:Glad this question came up. Is it possible to NOT lose weight on semiglutides?

My doctor has started an Ozempic weight loss clinic. He said he’s got 150 patients who are on it or have gone through it and all but a handful have lost a significant amount of weight, so yes, some do not lose. I didn’t ask what “significant” meant in this context, but his receptionist used to be big-big (like 350/400) and she looks to be 275/300 now, so I wonder if she’s one of the patients.
