Walls and JR are very different schools with their own strengths and weaknesses. Shouldn’t be that difficult to decide between the two.

Students that took a seat at Walls but then decided to attend JR are legit. They are allowed to change their minds and enrollment. Nothing nefarious there.
It is not "nefarious" but it is a little inconsiderate. Will be even more so once summer bridge week (June 26-30) has passed because students admitted off the waitlist after that week won't have the opportunity to attend.
Boo hoo! If you’re so impatient, then your child should have interviewed better to avoid the waitlist.

Do not overthink what they offer in summer bridge. Many students miss this. It is not a requirement for enrollment.
I view summer bridge as an opportunity for my child to get practice taking the metro to/from school; get acclimated to the new building; take placement tests; learn more about clubs and extracurriculars; meet some new friends/the kids she will be attending school with. Of course none of this is necessary or critical, but I do think it is a good thing/glad my kid will be able to do it. And to PP - my kid apparently did interview okay b/c she got in to Walls. I still think it is inconsiderate to the kids on the waitlist to "enroll" and hold on to a spot you likely do not intend to take b/c you will go to JR or whatever but don't feel like making that decision for realz yet.
We’re all entitled to our opinions. I don’t think it’s inconsiderate for someone to take their time to make an important decision about their education. Especially in light of the fact that Walls didn’t offer an in-person open house or a shadow day for admitted students. All they offered admitted students was a mediocre 50 minute tour of the building two days before the official decision day.
Honestly if it’s this much of a struggle to decide just go to JR and give the Walls spot to a student who wants to be there or perhaps doesn’t have a strong IB option.

"Your child should have interviewed better" is not only unkind, it is ridiculous. I have a kid at Walls and admit the interviews are a joke. They are short and inconsistent. I don't know what they actually glean from them.

I know several families who are really struggling with school choices who would have a huge weight off of their shoulders with a call from Walls. So yes, please just sit down and go ahead and make a decision if you haven't already. It could really help someone else out.
