The new story linked by OP said they wanted to relocate the bear, not kill it.

Of course, the longer it takes to catch the bear to relocate it, is more time spent around humans it could hurt. If the police don’t catch up to it until it’s attacking someone, then they might have to kill it.




It’s a black bear. It’s not going to attack anyone. Jesus. I’ve chased bears away on trash day in my pajamas.
