Every three months I seem to get a note about fundraising for Jawando running for something. Dude needs to sit down at this point.

And if we could turn back the clock to the political atmosphere 10 or 20 years, he would probably win. Today, I don't see Maryland sending a Republican to the Senate.

Trone has the money to be competitive.

People on twitter are saying Raskin, but I just dont see it.

I could see Rawlings or Alsobrooks

Autocorrect. I typed Raskin.

Shelly Hettleman should run. She would be perfect.

Grateful to Cardin for his years of service. Great job. He deserves to retire.

When Van Hollen ran for the then-open seat he only got one serious primary challenger - Donna Edwards.

I think Jawando would have to alter himself quite a bit to run for a statewide position. Good luck with that.

Right.

So this isnt an uphill battle, its a super long shot.

So the question then is whats in it for him? Longterm he might even piss off the party for getting in this.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't get it.

When Jawando ran for Congress in 2016, he came in 5th in the primary, behind Raskin, Trone, Kathleen Matthews, and Ana Sol Gutierrez.
